What does Coastal Home Advisors actually do?
We provide residential quality assessments and advisories for new construction homes. We help you understand the process, prepare specific questions, prioritize quality, navigate warranty concerns, and feel confident throughout the process.
Are you a licensed home inspector?
No. Coastal Home Advisors does not perform home inspections or replace licensed inspectors. The builder usually hires an outside company to do a quality check for them. We work for the homeowner, doing quality assessments without limitations on where to go or what goes into the report. We provide the homeowner with this information in an advisory role.
How are you different from a home inspector?
A licensed inspector evaluates and reports on the physical condition of a home. We provide advisory guidance before, during, and after the build process — helping you prepare, plan, and make informed decisions.
Do you work for the builder?
No. We work for homeowners only. Our role is to help you feel prepared and informed during your new construction journey. Buying a new construction home is very different from buying an existing resale home, the sales representative, construction manager, and sometimes even the lender, all work for the builder. Coastal Home Advisors even out the experience.
When should I hire Coastal Home Advisors?
The earlier, the better. Ideally:

What types of homes do you specialize in?
Primarily new construction homes, production builders, semi-custom builds, and warranty follow-ups.
Can you attend walkthroughs with me?
We can attend in a support and advisory capacity, depending on location and scheduling. We do not perform inspections but help you know what to look for and what to ask. We do quality assessments and advise.
Do you guarantee my home will be defect-free?
No. No advisor or inspector can guarantee that. Our goal is to help you reduce risk and feel informed, not eliminate all construction variables.
What if my builder pushes back?
We help you prepare professional, organized communication and documentation strategies. Builders respond best to clarity, not confrontation.
